WHAT ARE WE?
Whatever is wrong with government is a result of the people letting it happen by being apathetic. People can make a differ-ence if they get involved, learn the issues, know the candidates and express them-selves. THE VOTERS’ COALITION helps people do this. Originally founded in 1983 as THE VOTERS’ COALITION of PALm BEACH COuNTy, we have grown to where our large membership represents dozens of commu-nities throughout Palm Beach County. Our members also include elected officials, ap-pointees and employees in some of the most prestigious government offices and advisory committees. Our voting advice in the form of “Palm Cards,” media advertising and political column coverage has been widely respected in the state as well as the county.
THE VOTERS’ COALITION is a NONPARTISAN, ImPARTIAL organization whose objective is dedication to the research of and action upon issues and candidates. It is our aim to involve more people in the political process by making them better informed and more aware of the issues and the “players.” Our philosophy stresses that: AN INFORmED ELECTORATE IS AN IN-TELLIGENT CONSTITuENCy.
We monitor political activity and dis-seminate our findings. We help implement needed legislation and try to prevent pas-sage of undesirable legislation. We encour-age people to participate in the political arena.
We evaluate different points of view and we then actively support the specific issues and candidates we find to be in the best interests of most people.
